What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe successful treatment is rooted in a warm, supportive, and trusting relationship where I utilize an open-minded and non-judgmental attitude to gain a thorough understanding of your experience. The best counseling allows you to bear witness to your own story. From this foundation, we will unpack, explore, and work through the challenges and barriers preventing you from living a more fulfilling life. My theoretical orientation is Client Centered, also known as Person Centered. EMDR is considered a Person-Centered Therapy. I also utilize aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy, based on client needs. I utilize many techniques including mindfulness, cognitive restructuring, calm tapping, relaxation exercises, and square breathing.
