Everyone can benefit from a sounding board for life’s struggles. Central to successful therapy is forming a trustworthy relationship with the client and attuning to the client’s thoughts, feelings, actions, frustrations, desires, and goals. Insight and new understandings are important. I take a very active approach with you, giving you feedback, suggesting specific actions, and offering areas of focus between meetings. The focus is to collaborate in generating new ideas and solutions in response to life and work distress, to support growth and new possibilities. My approach My practice specializes in leadership and career development coaching as well as treating individuals, couples, and families. Through a fun, collaborative relationship, there is always a way to address the issues you face and learn coping strategies to help you both right now and in the future. I am trained in CBT, DBT, EFT, trauma-informed care, as well as humanistic approach. My focus I work primarily with adults, couples, and adolescents. The focus of therapy depends upon your needs; therefore, therapy is a collaborative effort and exchange. I see clients with a variety of issues, including anxiety and distress as a result of life changes. Concerns individuals typically bring into therapy include depression, relationship concerns and conflicts, work stress, addictions, grief and loss, and life transitions. I utilize a family systems perspective, and we will often process your thoughts and feelings about relationships. This will include experiences from the past and present, and how they relate to your current behaviors. The focus of therapy is to collaborate in generating new ideas and solutions in response to life’s distress and to support growth and new possibilities. My communication style I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
