Hi there, I'm Kelly! Kelly Tarbell, LMFT. Welcome! I?m a licensed marriage and family therapist working with clients via telehealth in California. I support adults who are experiencing symptoms related to trauma, anxiety, and depression. My work takes a mind-body approach, centering social justice values to honor you in the context of your environment. I earned my Master?s in Clinical Psychology from California State University, Fullerton, which laid the foundation for my holistic and evidence-based approach to therapy. My approach My approach prioritizes our person-to-person connection as we work toward your goals. Drawing upon my experience with yoga, dance, mindfulness, and somatic training, I bring attention to the body-mind connection to view you holistically. I also pull from evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. For those experiencing PTSD, I am particularly passionate about using Cognitive Processing Therapy as a powerful intervention for recovery. My focus Clients I work with have experienced a wide range of life challenges, including life transitions, day-to-day stressors, and traumatic events. I specialize in working with adults experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other trauma-related symptoms. My communication style I bring warm and inviting energy to sessions that encourage you to share at your own pace. Although I encourage your autonomy in doing what feels right for you, I offer guidance and direction when needed to ensure we move toward your goals. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist is in some ways straightforward but peppered with twists that inform my work today. I always knew I wanted to help others, yet I also have a passion for movement and travel. Through dance and living abroad, I have learned to appreciate diverse approaches to connection and healing which fuel my work as a therapist.
