What should a new client know about working with you?

Prior to becoming a therapist, I have enjoyed years of experience in education, residential treatment, and working in a variety of settings with parents and children of all ages. Across all of those fields, one thing I've learned is that everybody has a story to tell. Because of this, I often feel drawn to working with clients who identify as neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, or those coming from a trauma background. I enjoy working with a wide variety of clients, often utilizing experiential interventions in therapy including sand tray, art, and play to empower my clients to teach me about their world.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe that we all already have the values and strength that can help us through hard times. Sometimes, we need help identifying those strengths and knowing that there is somebody who will accept us unconditionally. No matter the age, I believe that you are the expert on your life, and the tools to change are already within you.
