Getting to know Kelsey Miller

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am wanting to help you meet your goals in life. I earned my bachelor’s (BSW) in 2004 and my master’s (MSW) in 2009. I’ve worked with all ages, cradle to grave, and enjoy working with them all. Every age, population, and individual sparkles in its own way. Each individual has goals which can be as simple as finding a small joy that helps you wake up each day to something more involved like helping you grieve the loss of your one true love. I want to help you find the joy in being you. Let me help you and your family realize your full potential. There’s a little bit of hope in each of us.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach starts simply by meeting you where you are at and then evolves from there. Can I tell you that you'll need X, Y, and Z without having spent the time with you to know and understand what has happened and what it all has meant to you. Of course not. There is the ability to heal by working together through a relationship of trust.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session will be like meeting with a friend over coffee or tea. We will sit and talk. Take time to get to know each other, learn what's important. What scares you, makes you happy. If there are questions you don't want to answer or you don't feel comfortable with then we stop. You have total control. I'm here for you and you are in the driver's seat.
