Getting to know Kelsie McGlothin

Hello! I am a licensed marriage and family therapist based in Tennessee, with a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Richmont Graduate University. I have been working clinically with individuals and families since 2017, specializing in treating complex and developmental trauma from a neurobiologically sensitive perspective. Complex trauma refers to exposure to multiple, repetitive traumatic experiences over time, often during key developmental stages. I work with clients of all ages, including those experiencing anxiety and depression, navigating life transitions, seeking to enhance relationships, and more. Healing from complex and developmental trauma can feel daunting, and my role is to walk alongside you in this process. You might feel like your past keeps intruding on your present. Perhaps you’ve tried to handle it on your own, but memories, reactivity, negative thoughts, or tears keep surfacing in your relationships, at work, or with your children. I want to help you understand yourself—your nervous system, survival instincts, and brain—and support you as you move toward healing. While we can’t change what happened in the past, we can help your brain and body reorganize those experiences, allowing them to become a chapter in your story rather than the defining theme.
