“Kendall really helped me move from a dark place to a bright one. I came to her with really bad anxiety and depression, and she taught me helpful coping skills and confidence/self-esteem-building tools. Kendall also helped push me out of my comfort zone to attend events and meet new people, which definitely made trying new/scary things much more doable. ”

That's why I take a collaborative approach, meeting you where you are and creating a personalized plan tailored to your unique needs. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University Brooklyn and a Bachelor's degree from Lafayette College, which have equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support you effectively.

What should a new client know about working with you?

At KendallBTherapy, I aim to meet each of my clients where they are in their healing journey. Change is scary. I don’t expect any of my clients to meet with me once or twice and then start making drastic changes in their lives. The Transtheoretical model suggests that people move through 6 stages of change. If you’re just beginning therapy, you’re probably in the 1st (pre-contemplation) or 2nd (contemplation) stage of change. It takes time and work to move from one stage to the next. Whether you’re ready to make a change tomorrow or unsure when you’ll be prepared to do so, I am here to meet you where you are. Let’s work together to figure out what you’re struggling with, why you’re struggling with it, and develop strategies to manage or overcome them effectively.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I help young adults overcome anxiety, addiction, and body image issues so they can live a life free from mental suffering. Let's work collaboratively to discover your goals for treatment and then come up with a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back.

Kendall was my therapist for the past year. i can confidently say she is the best therapist i’ve ever had and working with her has been amazing. she is extremely supportive, validating, and approachable. i was able to learn so much about myself through working with her. i would HIGHLY recommend therapy with her!
Kendall was my therapist for the past year and she has honestly been the best therapist i have ever worked with. she is absolutely amazing and has helped me so much! i always feel heard and seen with her, she is very approachable, warm, and validating. i would HIGHLY recommend her.
I met Kendall weekly for nearly two years. I sought counseling after moving to a new city during my graduate program, dealing with a recent breakup and a personal loss, struggling with profound sadness and anxiety. Kendall, highly recommended by her supervisor, caught my attention due to her expertise in my areas of concern and her relatability as a fellow grad student. Though initially hesitant about counseling, my first conversation with her reassured me; she's a trustworthy, empathetic listener who constantly seeks to offer tailored support. She transformed therapy from a source of shame to a cherished routine. Her sessions left me better equipped to confront challenges, secure in the validity of my emotions, and unafraid of the anxiety that once consumed me. Even tearful sessions yielded clarity, self-assurance, and reduced fear. I recommend Kendall for strengthening relationships, managing anxiety, and overcoming bad habits. She'll show up for you and remind you you’re not alone!
Kendall was an amazing therapist and mentor to me during a very difficult time in life. She always listened with care and gave me helpful tools which I still use to this day. She has a warm personality and I felt comfortable opening up to her. Kendall would give me things to work on each week and check back in with me at the following session which helped me stay accountable. The best part is that the tools I learned from Kendall have stayed and I am able to live my life feeling in control of myself and my emotions. I would highly recommend Kendall to anyone looking for someone to help in their healing journey.
