OR
Hello! My name is Kendall Herr and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I graduated from Oregon State University Cascades with a Masters Degree in Counseling in 2019. I started my career as a high school counselor and switched to private practice in 2022. I enjoy working with individuals of all ages and stages of life. I have recently started narrowing my focus to helping those who have or are currently struggling with codependent tendencies and women's issues (PMDD, PME, infertility, miscarriage, etc). I have also been receiving more specialized training to help those struggling with anxiety, depression, and feeling "stuck" using a modality called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a Person Centered therapist meaning that I let you set the tone for our sessions. You are the expert of your life and so I believe that you should be the one guiding where we go (with my gentle help of course). We will work together to come up with a plan that feels like your needs, concerns, and goals are being heard and met. I focus on building trust and rapport with my clients because I believe that it vital for the therapeutic process. I like to get to know you as an individual and adjust my treatment to meet your individual needs. You can expect me to show up as my authentic self and sometimes use humor to heal the soul.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We will start with an intake session to discuss what brought you to therapy, your goals, and your symptoms. We will then dive in to getting to know you as a whole (your job, support system, family of origin, hobbies, etc) and from there come up with a plan together of how to help you reach your goals. Sessions are typically held once a week for one hour virtually. How weekly sessions are structured can depend on the client but intale a check in from how the previous week went, skill building, processing, reflection, and more. It is your time you are free to use the time however you see fit to be able to work towards your therapeutic goals.
