Hi there, I'm Dr Kendra! I am a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience practicing in the State of Kansas. I have specialties in Trauma-focused care, Cognitive Behavioral therapy and I am a Registered Play Therapist. My area of practice is individual therapy for all ages. I focus on anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavior disorders, trauma, relationship issues, divorce, and areas related to adoption/foster care. My approach I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy to meet the emotional needs of my clients and to ensure a safe space to openly share thoughts and feelings in a manner that allows for self-exploration. I utilize approaches that address a client's needs for individualized processing that allows for emotional growth to address the presenting issue and any underlying issues that are discovered during the therapeutic process. The theoretical approach that will be utilized to your specific presenting concerns will be discussed with you and decided together in session. The primary approaches utilized are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment-based therapy, Trauma-focused therapy, and Play therapy. My focus I have found over multiple years of practice having open dialogue with the client allows for the most clinical successes and growth no matter what area of expertise is utilized in session. I treat individuals who have anxiety, depression, ADHD, Trauma-related issues, behavior disorders, relationship issues, and family issues. My communication style I communicate openly and honestly. I pride myself in allowing clients to express whatever thoughts they need to be able to process situations happening in their lives. The session is a judgment-free zone where the client is able to experience a sense of release and unburdening of feelings and emotions.
