Psychotherapist
414 Plaza Dr, Ste 301, Westmont, IL
When life feels overwhelming and out of control, therapy can be an incredible way to help you take control and gain the skills to help you handle future life stressors, whether personal or in your relationship. My goal in therapy is to help you feel supported, comfortable, and heard as we work together. Finding the right type of therapy is essential depending on the person and what help they are looking for. I feel passionate about working with marriage and couple’s issues, parental concerns, and teens or women suffering from anxiety, depression, body image, life transition, and self-esteem. I work with a variety of approaches based on the individual’s needs, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I am also certified in Gottman Level 1 for marriage and couple’s therapy. I want my clients to get what they want out of our time together, and to do that I feel it is important to build a trusting and open relationship. Along with being married for thirteen years, I have also dedicated my life to raising my three young children, ages 5-12. So, I have experienced many joys and challenges in my own personal relationships. I love listening, helping process, problem-solving, encouraging, and supporting others on their journey to feeling peaceful, complete, whole, and safe. It would be a privilege to hear your unique story and walk alongside you.
