I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida with 17 years of professional counseling experience working with people from diverse backgrounds. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida. I have extensive experience working with adolescents presenting with various emotional and behavioral issues, including criminal, sexual, mood, substance abuse, and family challenges. I also have a strong track record of supporting women of all ages who struggle to adjust to life stressors, such as balancing motherhood, marriage, corporate careers, and post-COVID-19 challenges. In addition to individual therapy, I assist couples and families, holding a postgraduate certification in Marriage and Family Counseling. I take a systems approach to help improve relationships, with a passion for supporting ethnic couples and families as they navigate daily stressors and cultural influences that impact their connections. I have had positive experiences helping clients with relationship issues, life skills development, family conflicts, infidelity, adjustment, trauma, and abuse. People come to therapy for many reasons, and I am here to support you through whatever you are facing. I believe you are the expert of your story and possess many strengths to overcome your challenges. I use a holistic approach, engaging you with a variety of techniques to help you move toward being your best self and having satisfying relationships with yourself and others. I want the therapeutic process to be helpful and worthwhile. I am creative and think outside the box, using spunk, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude to build a strong rapport with my clients. Taking the first step to begin therapy takes courage, and I am proud of you for starting this journey. I look forward to working with you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our first session we will get to know each other and talk about what to expect in therapy. We will talk about the partnership that will take place and note if "we" are a good fit. We will explore client goals, expected participation and commitment to the process. We will learn to engage with each other in a professional, fun, and safe environment. Clients will be able to safely explore and express their thoughts and feelings; be able to recognize and feel empowered to connect with and portray personal strengths. Come ready to work.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
