Hello, I'm Kenisha, and I'm thrilled that you are considering allowing me to help you along your journey. I believe that we all are in the process of becoming better versions of ourselves, and sometimes on that journey, we need a little support along the way. I would love to be that support for you. I see the therapeutic relationship as a partnership. I understand how important it is to identify the underlying causes of troubling issues, and we will work together to identify those issues and derive goals to overcome them. I hold an MA and am a Licensed Addiction Counselor as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have experience in working with individuals with a wide range of concerns, including anger management, relational issues, substance use disorders, self-esteem concerns, stress management, and various other related issues. My therapeutic approaches are based on your presenting concerns, goals, and motivation. These include cognitive-behavioral, brief therapy, mindfulness, client-centered, solution-focused therapy, and always holistic in nature. I am a fan of mindfulness practices and incorporate it whenever possible. I specialize in helping clients with addiction, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, anger management, anxiety, depression, family relationships, grief/bereavement, intimate/romantic relationships, life transitions, and stress. Whether you're dealing with a specific issue or looking for general support, I am here to help. I am committed to reducing the stigma of mental illness, and I am glad that you have reached out for help. I look forward to working with you. Let's take this journey together.
