Kenneth Butler, LMFT

Psychotherapist
NJ
The provider is a “Marriage & Family Therapist" and their license number is 37FI00248500. Over the last few decades I have been able to help children, adults, couples and families stop managing their lives and start controlling it. My approach I use an integrated approach that uses Narrative, Cognitive Behavioral, and Trauma-Informed Care in a relaxed and curious style. My focus I work with individuals from childhood through adulthood, couples, and families of all forms and flavors. My communication style I tend to approach people in a supportive, non-judgemental, and highly curious way. With families, I am not a judge but an interpreter to facilitate healthy communication. My journey to mental healthcare I have spent decades helping others, in group homes, as an ABA tech, working at a hospital outpatient unit, in-home therapy, and in a classic office format. Meeting the client where they are in a literal as well as metaphorical way. My goals for you Because I am not an expert on your life, my goal is to help you identify your goals, adding my training and experience to find an approach that works for your life's unique questions. My first session with you In my first session, I listen to your story, take notes, and explain my style to you. I find that this is the time to see if I will be able to walk with you on your journey or not. This is the time for me to start earning your trust and letting you decide your next steps.
