MACS is a small private practice that provides personalized services to children, adults, couples, and families. We are one of the few practices in Santa Clara providing a full suite of divorce-related services.

Ken is a licensed relational psychotherapist who works with individuals, couples, and families facing conflict, transition, and emotional strain. His work focuses on helping people navigate complex relationship dynamics and periods of change with greater clarity, stability, and emotional understanding..
In his divorce-related work, Ken provides specialized support for families needing support for co-parenting, child and parent-child therapy, reunification, discernment counseling, and custody-related evaluations. Before becoming a therapist, Ken spent over 30 years working in the technology sector as a statistician and researcher. This background informs a thoughtful, structured approach to therapy that balances emotional depth with clarity and practical problem-solving.
He holds graduate degrees in statistics (MS, Stanford), health sciences (MHS, Johns Hopkins), and clinical psychology (MS, Notre Dame de Namur), and is completing his PsyD (expected 2026).
Ken’s therapeutic style is immersive, empathic, and direct. He works collaboratively with clients to reduce entrenched conflict, increase emotional understanding, and support more stable, workable relationships during periods of relational rupture and change.

What should a new client know about working with you?
I'm a relational psychotherapist with significant life experience. I have worked in biotech and hitech. I have advanced skills in mediation, resolving conflicts, and helping couples, families and coparents develop greater closeness and partnership.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
At MACS, we believe that weekly therapy is important for progress and growth. Thus we start by seeing clients at least weekly until symptoms stabilize. Then, over time, we transition to twice per month than monthly.
In a first session, I will work with the client to get their biographical background information, pertinent social and medical history and the circumstances of the presenting problem. Over the first 1-2 sessions, we will develop goals for therapy.
Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Ongoing session: $280-350 for 50 minutes
- Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay

We accept HSA and sliding scale. Most of our clients are able to get 50-70% reimbursement from their insurance companies.
