Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or emotionally exhausted can make it difficult to enjoy life, maintain healthy relationships, or feel like yourself—but you don't have to face those challenges alone. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) providing secure telehealth therapy to adolescents (14+), adults, couples, and families throughout Alabama. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, stress, relationship concerns, self-esteem challenges, anger management, substance use, family conflict, and major life transitions. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and have a special interest in LGBTQ+ affirming care, men's mental health, identity development, trauma recovery, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I use evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. Together, we'll identify unhelpful patterns, build practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. I provide telehealth services throughout Alabama and accept Aetna, Cigna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Humana Medicare Advantage, Providence Health Plans, Anthem Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and self-pay clients. What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients can expect a supportive, collaborative, and goal-oriented therapy experience where they feel respected, heard, and challenged to grow. I believe therapy works best when there is trust, honesty, and teamwork, so we'll work together to identify your goals and create a plan that fits your unique needs and strengths. My sessions combine practical skill-building with meaningful reflection to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. You'll learn evidence-based strategies to manage stress, improve relationships, strengthen coping skills, and navigate life's challenges with greater confidence. My goal is for you to leave each session with greater insight, practical tools, and a clear sense of progress—not just someone to talk to.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, explore your personal history, identify your strengths, and clarify the goals you'd like to achieve. Together, we'll develop a treatment plan that feels realistic, personalized, and aligned with what matters most to you. As therapy progresses, we'll regularly review your progress, build practical coping skills, identify and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop healthy strategies for navigating life's challenges. Sessions are collaborative, meaning we'll work together to adjust our approach as your needs and goals evolve. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools you can confidently apply in your everyday life—so that progress continues long after our sessions end.
