Getting to know Keriann Holsinger

I love working with people who are willing to get curious. Whether you’re struggling in a relationship, feeling stuck in a recurring pattern, or trying to make sense of conflicting thoughts, emotions, or experiences, therapy can be a place to ask deeper questions. Together, we’ll explore what’s underneath the surface, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and discover new ways of relating to yourself and the people around you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As a therapist, I value curiosity, honesty, and authenticity. I believe meaningful change begins with understanding, and that people are far more than their symptoms, diagnoses, or worst moments. My goal is to approach each client with genuine interest, compassion, and respect for their unique experiences. I value the courage it takes to examine ourselves and the willingness to ask difficult questions. Rather than focusing on blame, I am interested in understanding - how experiences, relationships, beliefs, and patterns shape the way we move through the world. I also value collaboration. I don’t believe therapy is something done to a client; it’s a process we engage in together. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to explore, and challenged enough to grow. Above all, I believe people are capable of change, and that greater awareness creates greater freedom in how we live, relate, and choose.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe most people make sense when we understand their story. The thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationship patterns that cause distress often developed for a reason, even if they’re no longer serving us well. My approach is grounded in curiosity. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or solutions, I work with clients to better understand themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that shape their lives. I believe insight and awareness create opportunities for change, and that lasting change is more likely when we understand the “why” beneath our experiences. In therapy, I strive to create a space where clients can be honest, challenged, and understood. Together, we slow things down, explore what’s happening beneath the surface, and make sense of experiences that may have once felt confusing, frustrating, or overwhelming. My goal is not to tell clients who they are, but to help them discover a deeper understanding of themselves and the people around them.
