Getting to know Kerin Schornstein
Hi I am Kerin a licensed clinical social worker who is passionate about mental health. I have always wanted to be a therapist and be that support for others. I received my own help early in life and it had a profound impact on me and has stayed with me through the years. Just knowing that I can help someone during a difficult period of time and help them see that they have choices and options is powerful. I am a true believer in making life happen for you and not to you and I strive to empower my clients to get to this place. I have been working in the mental health field for 25 years helping individuals and families who struggle with issues of depression, anxiety, stress and grief and loss. I have a private practice specializing in eating disorders, disordered eating and body image issues and I am a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. My approach to therapy is that every individual is unique and there is no one size fits all philosophy. I tend to utilize a strengths perspective to help clients see their true abilities and to help them build upon this foundation. My goal for working with clients is for them to feel seen and understood. With that being said I will meet you wherever you are and never come in with an agenda. True healing is possible and I would be honored to walk this journey with you.
