What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients describe me as authentic, compassionate, and collaborative. I understand how overwhelming it can feel to start therapy, and I want you to know that our work together is a partnership. I draw not only from research and training but also from my own lived experience as a neurodivergent woman, a mother, and an advocate for mental health equity. I welcome clients of all backgrounds, with a special commitment to serving diverse and multicultural communities, including African-American, Caribbean, Hispanic/Latino, and immigrant families. I am fluent in Creole and French, which allows me to provide therapy in multiple languages and create a safe, culturally-responsive space.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I use art therapy, play therapy and we also pay attention to how stress, trauma, and emotions show up in the body. From a CBT perspective infused with mind-body practices (Somatic CBT), therapy with me goes beyond talking— In early sessions, we identify your goals and explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Over time, we practice grounding skills, body-based techniques, and thought-reframing strategies that empower your family to move through anxiety, strengthen relationships, and navigate transitions with greater ease. Clients of all ages can expect a process that is structured yet flexible, focused on building awareness, resilience, and practical tools that fit into daily life. Whether we are addressing ADHD, family dynamics, or the stress of parenting, my goal is always to help you feel more present, empowered, and connected to yourself and others.
