I've called this community home for most of my life, and I've spent more than 31 years helping people heal and grow. I began my career in 1995 and have worked across nearly every level of mental health care — from adolescent treatment and crisis programs to two decades as Lead Psychotherapist at Ascension Genesys Hillside Center for Behavioral Health, where I built a Joint Commission–accredited intensive outpatient program and specialized trauma groups. In 2023 I opened A Healthier You Counseling Center to offer the kind of care I believe in most: personal, unhurried, and genuinely affirming. I work with clients age 12 and up — teens, adults, couples, and families — facing anxiety, depression, trauma, identity concerns, and life stress. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative, drawing on evidence-based approaches like CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and trauma-focused therapy, always adapted to you. Above all, I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to be fully ourselves. Outside the therapy room, you'll find me enjoying quiet mornings, good books, freshly brewed coffee, and time with my two cats, Josh and Lucy. I care deeply about mental health advocacy, reducing stigma, and supporting equity and compassion in my community.
