“Mrs. Washington is great! She made me feel comfortable from day 1 almost like I already knew her and I don't feel judged whenever we speak. She listens very well and calls me out on even the little things I say that I don't even realize I've said. She empowers me by telling me how great I'm doing and that she's proud of my progress. I love it here.”

Getting to know Keyunda Washington

One of my favorite life mantras is a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt: "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." I truly enjoy helping others embrace their power, and one of the most impactful ways to do that is by changing thought processes. This shift has a significant influence on how we react and the emotions we experience. Facing life's challenges can be difficult at times, but you do not have to face them alone. I will walk alongside you on your journey, providing a safe environment that encourages exploration and growth. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from Walden University, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to support you effectively. If you'd like to see if I'd be a good fit for your personal journey, please feel invited to reach out!

What should a new client know about working with you?

During intake, we’ll have a discussion of the counseling process and my approach. I also discuss privacy and limits of confidentiality, along with my licensure status and credentials. Background information on various areas, including presenting concerns, are assessed. Homework may sometimes be assigned and involve practicing coping skills outside of therapy. Progress looks like being able to use coping skills in response to presenting challenges, as well as a reduction in the negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors associated with your identified concern.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
