Khaola started her career as a school counselor in both the elementary and middle-school settings in California prior to moving to Illinois. She then trained in and began to provide trauma therapy to children and adults who experienced complex trauma and were involved with the child welfare system. She specializes in Trauma Focused CBT but utilizes a variety of treatment modalities including CBT, REBT, Motivational Interviewing and Brief-Solution Focused treatment, which are tailored to each patient’s clinical needs. Khaola works to build a trusting and nurturing environment for patients where they can begin to safely address the issues that are hindering their ability to make positive changes and live their best life.
