Getting to know Dr. Kierra Pickens

I believe in guiding clients with identifying ways counseling will lead to their personal growth and achievement. I love seeing my clients accomplish goals! I assist clients with addressing barriers and processing issues facilitate clients in living life with clarity, confidence, and prosperity. I have experience working in private practice, mental health consulting with schools, and organizations, residential and inpatient psychiatric treatment facilities, crisis counseling, and community mental health clinics. I have a PhD in International Psychology from The Chicago School. I have a professional certification as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As an international psychologist, I provide a warm, collaborative, and culturally aware space for clients to explore their challenges. Together, we’ll identify patterns, build coping skills, and work toward meaningful change at a pace that feels supportive and empowering. I value creating a nonjudgmental environment where you can feel seen, heard, and understood.
