Psychotherapist
CT
Whether this is your first experience with therapy or not, getting to know someone new can be nerve-racking. It is my job to help make this process as smooth as possible. I specialize in seeing clients with depression, anxiety, late-diagnosis ADHD, women's issues, and major life transitions. My approach is client and strength-centered, trauma and culturally informed. Please feel free to reach out with any questions about the process, and I look forward to hearing from you. My approach I utilize a multi-modality approach as I believe that one size does not fit all, and that is the same for treatment. I primarily use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to identify and restructure negative thought patterns. I am also a certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist (DBT), focusing on mood regulation through a variety of coping skills. I also provide trauma-informed therapy to help you process the past while working towards a future in which you feel safe and secure. I am Christian, so when requested, I do provide Christian-based therapy through God's word and the grounding power of prayer. I try my best to tailor my approaches to what is going to best fit your needs. My focus If you are feeling the disconnect that life just isn't quite going the way you want, or you are feeling overwhelmed, like you are failing in work, school, or in family, or even rejected by the world, I can help. I work with adults in managing depression, anxiety, ADHD, women's issues, and life transitions. Whether we are working on mood regulation, coping skills, or creating steps towards achieving your personal goals, I can help. I ultimately provide guidance and support for you to develop the skills and meet your goals on your own as you are in the driver's seat for your journey.
