Getting to know Kim Ring

Have you been feeling overwhelmed lately? Depressed and isolated? Struggling with worry and fears? Are you finally ready to take that step and talk with someone? I understand how meeting with a therapist for the first time can feel scary and overwhelming. I work very hard to provide a safe space where clients can feel free to openly talk about what they are struggling with. My name is Kim Ring, and I hold a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Shippensburg University. I have been working with clients for 22 years to help them identify their goals and figure out what they need to move forward and experience a happier, more fulfilling life. I have had the opportunity to work in many different settings in the mental health field, such as outpatient, inpatient, drug and alcohol rehabs, and home-based work. Because of my vast experience, I have worked with many types of clients and gained invaluable insight. I have helped clients struggling with mood disorders, trauma, anxiety, life adjustment issues, grief and loss, and parenting challenges. Clients often tell me they appreciate my approach because I am genuine and direct. I believe that to help clients, we need to put a mirror to them and be honest about what might be holding them back. Sometimes people just need support and someone to help them navigate a difficult time. I look forward to meeting you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide a thorough assessment regarding client's current symptoms, past symptoms, past trauma and current stressors to gather a clear therapeutic picture. I always discuss what client's goals are for treatment. It is important to me that client's feel they can ask me any questions they have about their therapeutic experience.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
