Kim Simms, LCSW

Kim Simms, LCSW

Psychotherapist
GA
I am a licensed clinical therapy with a background including community mental health, behavioral health, and various healthcare settings. I’m here to help you build insight, develop coping tools, and reconnect with your strengths. I help teens and adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of themselves find clarity, confidence, and relief. Therapy isn't about having all the answers, it's about discovering them together. In our first session together, here's what you can expect Our first session is not like a regular therapy session. Intake sessions require gathering a full client history with an intake assessment. After getting through the "business" side of things from the intake appointment, the second session is the first real therapy session. The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions Clients often tell me they appreciate my grounded presence, honesty, and ability to gently challenge them when needed. The clients I'm best positioned to serve I love working with people ages 13 and above who are struggling with everyday life. I support those struggling with anxiety, depression, emotions regulation, stress management, life transitions, or just simply feeling stuck in life. If you're feeling ready—or even just open to exploring what support could look like—I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
