Getting to know Kimberly Allen

Hi! I am Kim Allen, and I am excited to meet with you! I have been working with individuals of all ages for over 15 years. I have always been passionate about helping others and would love to support you whether you are simply going through some tough times, need some motivation to make a change in your life, or are struggling with more difficult challenges. I have worked with a variety of populations, including victims of trauma; parents, adolescents, and children struggling with mental health or other neurodivergent conditions (ADHD, autism, etc.); and individuals working to make lifestyle changes such as diet and nutritional adjustments. I have also worked with couples on improving their communication and relationship skills. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Temple University and am particularly passionate about helping others find ways to make changes using natural means, including meditation, dietary changes, nutritional supplementation, and behavior modification. Whether you are new to therapy or just seeking someone new to work with, I understand that taking the step to meet with someone new can be overwhelming. You have taken the first step toward making change. I hope you will let me help you take the next step!

What should a new client know about working with you?

Meeting someone new can be overwhelming, especially when you will be sharing private and at times intimate details about yourself. I take this very seriously and feel that it is important for a trusting relationship be built between us. You can expect the first session to be about building a relationship of trust and developing an understanding of the goals you have for therapy. As we move through sessions we will develop a plan together on how to best address the concerns you are bringing to therapy. Sessions will then proceed with reaching your goals in mind.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
