Kimberly Allison, LCSW

Psychotherapist
FL
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of collaboration. A therapist and client need to work together to help the client achieve their goals. Through a client-centered approach, I provide them a safe environment to share their thoughts and feelings. We will explore the issues on hand together and identify opportunities to help them meet their goals. I provide my clients the tools to help them move forward and live a happier life. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Columbia University and my Master's in Counseling from Alabama A&M University. I am currently a Doctoral Candidate at Barry University. Since becoming a counselor, I have worked in community settings providing counseling to youth and families since 2017. I have many years of training and experience as a trauma and grief therapist. I have worked with clients who have been victims of both individual and communal traumas. I also help clients who struggle with anger, stress, depression, and family conflicts. I enjoy spending time with my fur babies and my family as often as I can. I love traveling and being with loved ones. Most of my spare time is dedicated to continuing my doctoral degree, watching movies, and going to the beach. The remainder of my time is devoted to my career as an Air National Guard member, where I currently work in Civil Engineering. I also volunteer with the Florida Counseling Association (FCA) in several leadership roles.
