Getting to know Kimberly Delgado

Too often there is a high focus on the physical aspect of health. But what about our mental health? If we break a bone, we quickly seek emergency medical attention to stop the bleed and fix the bone. But what about when our feelings are hurt? When our feelings are broken? Shattered? Unmanageable? As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my goal is to help my clients reach their fullest potential by giving just as much attention to their mental well-being as they would their physical well-being. I began my social work journey in 2015 when I obtained my Master's degree and license in Social Work. I have primarily worked in the healthcare field, serving patients on dialysis and serving the Heroes who protected our country. My passion is helping the elderly, persons with disabilities and women. Women are one of the most vulnerable populations in our country. Through the years, women have fought hard to earn equal rights and become independent, hard-working and strong members of society. Oftentimes, past traumas and current life stressors bring the confidence of a woman down. I am here to empower the woman who doubts herself. by using feminist theories, CBT, mindfulness and strengths-based approaches. I use a combination of talk therapy and case management. It is my hope that my clients will learn how to process their past and current stressors while empowering them to reach their fullest potential.
