Hi, I’m Kim, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Credentialed Addiction Counselor with over 15 years of experience supporting adolescents and adults through anxiety, depression, mood-related concerns, substance use, family conflict, and life stressors. I became a therapist because I value creating a space where people feel safe and supported while working through difficult emotions and life experiences. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s needs and goals. I help clients better understand patterns in their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and coping strategies so they can make changes that feel realistic and sustainable. I use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy. I also support clients in building emotional regulation skills, improving communication, setting healthy boundaries, strengthening self-worth, and developing coping tools they can use outside of sessions. I have over 14 years of experience working with individuals affected by substance use and addiction. I support clients navigating recovery, relapse prevention, emotional triggers, co-occurring mental health concerns, and the impact substance use can have on relationships, self-esteem, and daily functioning. I understand that recovery is not always linear, and I approach this work with compassion, accountability, and respect for each client’s individual journey. I am also currently completing EMDR training and consultation. I integrate EMDR-informed principles within a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, with careful attention to preparation, stabilization, pacing, and client readiness. I strive to help clients build self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, improve relationships, and move toward greater emotional wellness and stability.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
