As You Are Counseling & Consultation exists to support and uplift individuals on their intimate journey to healing and liberation. We believe in decolonizing mental health, affirming all identities, and honoring every person's lived experience. Through self-compassion, connection, and curiosity, we believe individuals can gain agency over their life and rewrite their story. With a Master's in Social Work from the University of Houston and a Bachelor's degree from St. Edward's University, our approach is grounded in both education and lived experience.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In the therapy room, I show up genuine, curious, warm, and charismatic, allowing you to feel comfortable and at ease from the very beginning. I approach each session as a humble learner, recognizing that your lens is invaluable. When appropriate, I’m known to incorporate humor as a tool to ease challenging times. Overall, I remain open to feedback and honest communication to ensure your needs are being met.
