Hello?my name is Kimberly Hanson, and I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Washington. I hold a Master?s in Counseling from Western Seminary. I absolutely love counseling! My approach is to fully and deeply hear your story, provide you hope and encouragement, and bring relief to your situation. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, women?s issues, relationships, parenting, marriage, and PTSD?all from a Christian perspective. God?s Word will give you what you need to move forward in your life with clarity, purpose, and hope!
My approach
I find that using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and a Strength-Based Approach all lend well to relief, growth, change, and hope.
My focus
I love working with women of faith facing the many challenges of living in a sin-broken world. Whether it?s a difficult relationship, parenting struggles, stress, sadness, grief, or a host of other challenges, I love to offer hope and help.

I create a warm, understanding, friendly, and encouraging environment. I want you to feel like you are talking to a trusted friend with some wisdom to shed on your struggle and hope to give the situation.
My journey to mental healthcare
I love helping people create lives of meaning and purpose. I listen to someone?s story to help them see what is keeping them stuck, confused, sad, or anxious. Then, watching someone get relief and hope again is such a joy?the greatest joy in counseling.

Goals and having a plan are everything. Whether you know it or not, you already have them. I will draw them to the surface, help you clarify them more fully, and continually help you reassess them to make sure you are making the growth and change you want for your life.
