Getting to know Kimberly Kucera

As a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC), I specialize in PTSD and trauma care for adolescents and adults. My goal is to help you navigate trauma with compassion and care, creating a safe space to process pain and rediscover hope. I take an integrated, person-centered, and holistic approach, helping you improve self-esteem and overcome difficult memories or triggers in a safe space while addressing the mind, body, and spirit.

What should a new client know about working with you?

DISCLAIMER: not accepting Medicare or Medicaid plans at this time. My path toward patient care began with personal experiences, but was truly shaped by COVID-19, an experience that served as my inspiration to go back to school. In 2020, I worked in a hospital setting and saw firsthand the impact it had on the mental health of staff and patients, and was struck by the desire to help make a difference in their lives. When I started school in January 2021, I fell in love with helping patients during my internship. This experience deepened my commitment to providing compassionate, holistic care, where I bring the perspective of both therapist and patient to each session.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

At all times, you can expect a safe and non-judgmental environment that allows you to focus on true healing. I bring authenticity to all sessions, ensuring I am a genuine and trustworthy partner in care. Treatment may include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and many other modalities to help you find healing, increase self-compassion, and reconnect with what matters most to you.
