When someone asks you, “How are you doing?” What’s the first thing that comes to mind? “I’m good.” But the real question is… what’s on your mind? Somewhere along the way, we’ve become pretty good at putting on a mask, even when there’s so much more going on underneath the surface. Maybe you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, struggling with addiction, relational discord, feelings of inadequacy, guilt, shame, or simply feeling like you’ve lost yourself. My name is Kimberly Lindsay, RMHCI, and I’m a Clinical Mental Health Therapist. I’m here to support you as you navigate the difficult, confusing, and sometimes uncomfortable parts of life. In a room full of people, it’s possible to still feel completely alone. If that’s where you are right now, I want you to know that you don’t have to navigate it alone. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when it means being honest about the things we’ve spent so much time trying to avoid. But sometimes, the things we’re afraid of facing can be the very things that lead us toward healing and growth. You don’t have to have it all figured out before you walk through the door. Sometimes, giving yourself permission to take that first step is where the healing begins. Areas of Focus I work with adults navigating a variety of challenges, including: Substance use, relapse prevention and recovery Codependency and relationship concerns Boundaries and interpersonal relationships Stress management and emotional regulation Self-esteem, self-worth, and positive self-talk Coping skills and healthy emotional expression Personal growth, healing, and self-discovery

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is collaborative, person-centered, and individualized to each client. I draw from several therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Person-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness, Interpersonal Therapy, Stress Inoculation Training, and Holistic approaches. I work best with adults who are navigating substance misuse, anxiety, depression, complex trauma, everyday stress, or simply need space to talk and process what’s been going on. Sometimes, you just need someone to listen, help you make sense of what you’re experiencing, and remind you that you’re not alone. If you’re looking for a therapist who is compassionate, empathetic, understanding, and values authenticity and honest communication, I’m here. My goal is to create a space where you can be yourself, feel heard, and work through whatever season of life you may be in without judgment.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Clients often describe me as supportive, compassionate, and patient, someone who genuinely has their best interest at heart. I strive to create a safe, positive, and relaxing environment where you can come as you are, be yourself, and feel comfortable being vulnerable. Because vulnerability isn’t a weakness, it’s a strength. I believe in treating the person as a whole and taking a holistic approach to healing—mind, body, and spirit. It’s important to meet you where you are and recognize that healing doesn’t look the same for everyone. There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Therapy is a gradual process, and you don’t have to rush it.
