Getting to know Kimberly Peery

Hi, I’m Kim Peery, a board-licensed clinical social worker and founder of Help You Thrive, LLC. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Florida State University. I’m inspired to work with people who struggle with trauma, anxiety, and unanticipated life events. Working with adults, I help professionals and parents gain skills and confidence to strengthen their relationships—both professional and personal—and live their lives in alignment with their values.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with various populations from a multitude of environments, successfully building resiliency and capability with both individuals and groups. Utilizing my own experience in corporate business, as a school counselor, and a parenting specialist, I’ve embraced both the practicality of CBT and the awareness of emotion/mind/body on our capabilities.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy sessions may include a variety of therapeutic approaches such as, CBT, MBCT, or Gottman Emotion Focused Parenting, and more, all rooted in evidence based practices. Clients have expressed feeling a greater self value, increased calm, and less anxiety after our sessions. In our first session we identify your concerns and goals and you and I will build a treatment plan specific for you.
