We believe that mental wellness is a holistic journey, integrating evidence-based trauma therapy with a deep respect for the mind-body connection. What should a new client know about working with you?

If you're reading this, you may be carrying more than anyone around you realizes. Reaching out takes courage, and I'm really glad you're here. Our first session is simply a conversation. I'll ask what's been on your heart and mind, what's been feeling heavy, and what you're hoping might change. There's no right way to begin and no pressure to share everything at once. We'll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and by the end you'll leave with a clearer sense of where we're headed together. With me, you can expect warmth, honesty, and real support. I'll listen without judgment, and I'll also give you practical tools you can use in everyday life, whether that's quieting anxious thoughts, recovering from burnout, setting boundaries, or feeling more connected in your relationships. As a trauma-informed therapist, your comfort and sense of safety always come first, and you're always in charge of what we explore. This is your space. I'll check in with you along the way to make sure our work feels helpful, and your feedback is always welcome. Many clients start with weekly sessions, and we'll adjust as you grow. Good to know before we begin: Sessions are 53 minutes. [Telehealth / in-person in Decatur, adjust as needed] Private pay is $200 per session, paid before each session with a card securely on file. Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and missed sessions are charged [the full session fee / your chosen fee]. You'll receive a Good Faith Estimate of costs before we start. I don't provide crisis services. If you're in crisis, please call or text 988 or go to your nearest emergency room. You don't need to have it all figured out to take this first step. Just come as you are. I'd love to meet you, and I'm ready when you are.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process is designed to help you feel supported from the very first step. Getting started: Once you book, you'll receive a few intake forms to complete before our first session. They help me understand a little about you ahead of time, so we can spend our time together focusing on what matters most to you. Getting to know you: In our first session or two, I'll listen to your story, learn what's been weighing on you, and understand what you'd like your life to feel like. There's no rush. Feeling comfortable and safe with me comes first. Creating your path: Together, we'll set goals that feel meaningful and realistic for you. This is a shared plan, shaped by your needs and your pace, never a one-size-fits-all approach. Doing the work together: In our ongoing sessions, we'll explore what's beneath the stress, anxiety, burnout, or relationship struggles you're facing, and build tools you can use right away. I draw from evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioral strategies and mindfulness. With my training in trauma-informed yoga, I can also gently weave in grounding and breathing practices that help your body, not just your mind, find calm. Growing along the way: We'll pause regularly to check in on your progress and celebrate your wins, big and small. If something isn't working, we'll adjust together. Moving forward with confidence: As you feel stronger and more like yourself, we'll talk about spacing out sessions and preparing you to carry what you've learned into everyday life. My goal is for you to leave therapy feeling grounded, confident, and equipped for whatever comes next. Wherever you are in your journey, you don't have to walk it alone. I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
