Hello, I'm Kim. I deeply value the experience, background, and complexity of each individual who steps into the counseling room. I understand that each person’s journey is unique, and these experiences provide powerful tools and perspectives in the counseling process. My approach to therapy is integrative, emphasizing empowerment, resiliency, and self-motivation. I strive to create a safe, trusting, and understanding environment while also challenging you to take the steps necessary to accomplish your goals. Depending on your needs, I offer individual, group, and family therapy sessions. I graduated from the University of Maryland with a Master's Degree in Social Work in 1998. Over the past 25 years, I have had the privilege of working with both adolescents and adults. I have the experience and training to treat a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, alcohol and drug abuse issues, parent/teen relationship issues, and marital issues. Some of the therapies that have proven most successful in my work include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Art Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness. Whether you're dealing with addiction, anger management, ADHD, PTSD, stress, trauma, bipolar disorder, or navigating life transitions, I am here to support you. My goal is to empower you to harness your inner strengths and build resilience, guiding you toward a more fulfilling and balanced life.
