Psychotherapist
TX
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with more than a decade of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationships, and challenges related to identity and self-understanding. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices, while also recognizing that each person’s experiences are shaped by their family, culture, relationships, and environment. I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can be understood without judgment and where you can develop practical tools to create meaningful change. I work collaboratively with my clients to better understand what is getting in the way, build on existing strengths, and develop strategies that fit their individual needs and goals. As a psychologist, I bring both clinical expertise and genuine curiosity to the therapeutic relationship. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, navigating a major transition, struggling with anxiety or self-doubt, or simply wanting a better understanding of yourself, I would be honored to work alongside you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When we work together, you can expect therapy to be collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to you. I won’t simply tell you what to do or give you a list of things to fix. Instead, we’ll work together to understand what you’re experiencing, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical strategies that support the changes you want to make. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide a supportive space, clinical perspective, and tools to help you move forward. I also recognize that therapy can look different for everyone, so we’ll adjust our approach based on your needs, goals, and pace. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. You simply need to be willing to show up, be curious about yourself, and take the process one step at a time.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first few sessions are an opportunity for us to get to know one another, understand what brings you to therapy, and identify the goals you would like to work toward. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns as well as relevant experiences, relationships, and patterns that may help us better understand what you’re going through. During ongoing sessions, we’ll typically spend time checking in on how things have been going, exploring situations or patterns that are affecting you, and developing practical strategies to help you make progress. Depending on your needs, therapy may include talk therapy, skills-based interventions, mindfulness, cognitive and behavioral strategies, or other evidence-based approaches. I view therapy as a collaborative process. Your goals and feedback help guide our work, and we’ll regularly evaluate what is and isn’t working so that treatment remains meaningful and relevant to you.
