Hi, I'm Rob. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping individuals and families navigate life's challenges. I graduated from Regis University with a Master’s in Counseling and hold a post-graduate certificate in child and adolescent counseling. Before that, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with diverse populations. My experience includes working at the Mental Health Center of Denver in adult services and at The Third Way Center, a residential program for at-risk youth. These experiences have shaped my understanding and approach to therapy, emphasizing the importance of a positive client-therapist relationship for growth and healing. I specialize in a variety of areas, including anxiety, children's mental and behavioral health, adolescent and teen mental and behavioral health, depression, family relationships, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, multicultural and diversity issues, intimate and romantic relationships, stress, and trauma. I offer SonderMind Video Telehealth sessions to provide flexible and accessible care. My therapeutic approach is rooted in client-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). When working with children and families, I often utilize individual play therapy and filial play therapy to help children and adolescents explore their experiences and strengthen family bonds. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to develop the awareness, knowledge, and skills necessary for a healthy and fulfilling life.
