“I worked with Kirra for a little over a year and she was wonderful. We reached a natural ending point in our therapy relationship and mutually ended it. I only met with Kirra virtually and was not sure what to expect, as my previous therapy experiences had all been in person. She was surprisingly adept at building rapport even in a virtual space. I always felt she was giving me her full attention and listening thoughtfully during our sessions. I was specifically seeking out a therapist with experience working with Asian Americans and working with families, and Kirra did not disappoint. I would certainly go back to her to seek out services if I was still in the area where she is licensed.”

Hi, I’m Kirra. I am a psychotherapist licensed in Arizona, California and Texas, providing telehealth services to adults embarking on new chapters of their lives and working adults motivated to create long-lasting change. I hold a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. I help others connect to their inner strengths to reach their full potential. I am passionate about supporting others on their personal journeys in a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment. I encourage clients to empower themselves by listening to their own inner voice and living authentically. It is an honor to support others in their process of self-discovery, growth, and change. I am a culturally sensitive, inclusive, and trauma-informed therapist with a background in multicultural and multiracial issues. I help people heal from intergenerational trauma, race-based trauma, and childhood trauma.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a psychotherapist licensed in AZ, CA and TX providing a client-centered, culturally and trauma informed approach. I support my clients to process the impact of intergenerational trauma, racial identity and racial trauma on one’s mental health. What is your typical process for working with clients?

I utilize talk therapy, experiential exercises, guided imagery and mindfulness exercises to support my clients in their unique journey. I strive to meet each individual where they are, to find an integrative approach that is most effective for them.

Kiira was an incredible therapist and human being. She was respectful, kind, and patient. She helped me through a very hard time in my life.
Kirra Wong was an absolutely fantastic therapist. I knew I needed to work with a therapist but I was skittish about doing so because of a past negative experience, but Kirra helped put all my fears to rest. She was exceptionally perceptive and kind and helped attune me to my own behaviors, patterns, and attitudes, and how I could hone or change them to become healthier and develop healthier relationships. If all therapists were like Kirra and if everyone sought therapy, the world would be a much happier place.
I loved meeting with Kirra. She listens, is clam and gives very thoughtful insight. My visits with her were a tremendous help.
Ms. Wong was always lovely to talk to and she was a very receptive and active listener. There were many times where I didn’t understand how serious of a topic I was discussing with her until seeing her reactions, which helped me to fully realise it for myself too. She was incredibly affirming, considerate, and compassionate and she always allowed me the option of directing the session before guiding us from there. I never felt judged or embarrassed when telling her about something that was difficult for me. I always felt so relieved after talking to her and would look forward to telling her any progress I had made on my own. She has a very gentle and patient approach that makes you feel safe, and she was still able to keep the mood light enough to almost feel like you were just talking to your mom or a close friend. She’s the best therapist I’ve ever had :)
Kirra is undoubtedly one of the most exceptional therapists I've had the privilege of working with. When I first started my therapy journey, I had encountered two other therapists, both of whom left me underwhelmed and somewhat uncomfortable. However, that was not the case with Kirra, she was a breath of fresh air. From the moment we started our first session, I felt an immense sense of relief, as though a heavy burden had been lifted. Her ability to create an environment of comfort and ease is remarkable. Her attentive and empathetic listening skills set her apart from the other therapists, making me feel genuinely heard & understood. I can wholeheartedly say that she has been a transformative force in my life. Without reservation, I would 10/10 recommend Kirra to anyone seeking therapy. Her compassion, expertise, and ability to effect positive change are unparalleled.
Kirra is wonderful. She is compassionate, insightful, and really aided in my healing journey. I appreciated her guidance and her ability to help me see things from different perspectives without judgement. Highly reccomend.
