I would like to welcome you to therapy. I know it can be challenging to find a good fit with a therapist, and my hope is to make this easier for you. My goal in working with clients is to meet you where you are at and help you find ways to manage stressors in a healthier way. Growing up, I never felt that I had a voice or that my feelings mattered. As I grew up, I knew that I wanted to work in a field where I could help people, which is what led me to this work. It is important to me that you feel heard, understood, and have a voice. Therapy should be a safe space for exploration and gaining an understanding of who you are and what you want from your life. I hope to help in this process and empower you to grow and to know you don't have to do it alone. My approach I use a combination of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness to help you connect to your emotions and identify things that are no longer working for you. I aim to help you better understand your emotions so that you are equipped to make changes. My belief is that you are good as you are, in this moment, but that we all have the capacity to become better versions of ourselves. My goal is to help you create a life worth living. My focus Have you been struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, depression, or unresolved trauma? We can all benefit from support and guidance in life, no matter the struggle. My hope is to partner with you on your journey so that we can create strategies to help you better understand and navigate your feelings. I want to see you feel better and think with more confidence without memories, pain, or anxiety plaguing you anymore. My communication style I believe in open communication that comes from the heart. I am empathetic and want my clients to feel they can be themselves. As mentioned previously, creating a safe space in therapy is vital to recovery, and I believe in creating such a space for those that I work with. Your voice is important to me and your feelings matter.
