What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer a warm, genuine, and down-to-earth communication style to create a welcoming, non-judgmental space where your story is truly honored. I listen deeply with empathy and offer thoughtful, practical feedback to support your reflection and growth. Throughout our work together, you can expect mutual respect, compassion, openness, and a steady, supportive presence—especially when navigating difficult or sensitive topics. My journey into social work and therapy began with a deep belief that human beings are capable of great things—even in the face of pain, adversity, and change. I’ve always been drawn to understanding human behavior within the context of people’s environments, including the cultural, social, and systemic factors that shape their experiences. Early in my life, I saw the power of human connection as a healing force and recognized the importance of creating space where people feel seen, heard, and valued. I’m deeply committed to advocating for human rights and social justice, and I view therapy as both a personal and collective path toward empowerment. What continues to motivate me is witnessing people define success or peace on their own terms—it’s a powerful reminder of why I believe so strongly in this work and in every individual’s capacity to grow and heal. I believe therapy is a collaborative partnership where you are the expert in defining what success looks like for you. Together, we’ll set meaningful, client-centered goals tailored to your unique needs and priorities. As you grow and gain new insights, your goals may evolve—and that’s a natural part of the process. I feel honored to walk alongside you on your journey, celebrating your achievements and supporting you every step of the way. I’m here to provide practical tools and guidance to help you move steadily toward where you want to be in life, even when the path feels challenging.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first session is a non-judgmental, conversational opportunity where we’ll get to know each other and explore what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about your background, current challenges, and what you hope to achieve—all within a casual and supportive environment where you’re encouraged to show up as your authentic self. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions and gain a clear understanding of the therapy process. It’s completely understandable to feel nervous or unsure at first, and that’s okay. Therapy is a process, and we’ll take it one step at a time as we build trust and rapport together. I’m here to support and guide you every step of the way.
