Does any of this sound familiar? You're doing your best to keep everything together, but something still feels off. Maybe you're exhausted from trying to meet everyone's expectations, constantly second-guessing yourself, or feeling stuck in the same patterns. Perhaps your relationship has become more about managing conflict than enjoying each other, or you've reached a point where you know something needs to change but aren't sure where to begin. You don't have to have all the answers before starting therapy. I work with adults, couples, and families navigating relationship challenges, ADHD, anxiety, emotional disconnection, and major life transitions. My approach is compassionate but direct. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel understood, but also where we can have honest conversations, challenge patterns that aren't working, and develop practical ways to move forward. As the Founder and Clinical Director of Marriage.Family.Therapy, my goal is to help you better understand yourself and your relationships while making meaningful changes that extend beyond our sessions.

Getting to know Kody Evans

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and direct. I want you to feel comfortable speaking openly about what is happening in your life, but I also believe therapy should be more than simply talking through problems. Our work focuses on understanding the patterns influencing your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships while developing practical ways to create meaningful change. Whether you're coming to therapy individually, as a couple, or with your family, you can expect an approach tailored to your specific concerns and goals. I draw from evidence-based methods, including the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and family systems approaches. Some sessions may focus on addressing immediate challenges, while others explore deeper patterns that continue to affect your life and relationships. During our initial sessions, we'll discuss what brought you to therapy, what you've been experiencing, and what you hope to accomplish. You don't need to have everything figured out before we begin. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood while also being challenged to look at things differently, develop greater self-awareness, and make changes that carry into your everyday life.
