Psychotherapist
MT
Hello! I am a wilderness and adventure-loving mountain enthusiast living in Montana with over 20 years of experience as a therapist and coach. I hold a Master's in Counseling from the University of Wyoming. In my work, I model a way of being in life that strengthens my clients' resilience, determination, self-belief, compassion, autonomy, belonging, and sense of curiosity. I approach therapy and coaching from a space of openness and intentionality, with a team orientation. Working together, we are partners in shifting your energy and behavior so you can feel more vibrant, integrated, and unburdened in your life! Every individual's experience varies, and it is the complexity of our lives that brings hope for rebuilding. My work combines family systems theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and embodiment work, internal family systems, acceptance and commitment, and shame resilience theory. I am highly skilled in eating psychology, body image, and disordered behaviors with food. My primary interests and skills lie in supporting individuals who desire to know themselves fully, reclaim their voices, integrate all parts of themselves, and live from their most authentic, wholehearted energy. Many of us live from our woundedness, protecting and hiding what we often learned early in life was not okay to express but deeply needs our advocacy and acceptance. I have been professionally trained not only as a therapist but also as a coach for people who want to develop a more connected relationship with themselves. I am also trained as a mindfulness meditation instructor and utilize mindfulness principles extensively in my work. I view everyone as inherently healthy and capable of change and healing. Using a positive psychology and motivational interviewing framework, I focus on your capacities and strengths to help you build more skillful ways of interacting with yourself, others, your emotions, and your mind!
