Hi there! My name is Krissy Wegmann, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in St. Louis, Missouri. I provide telehealth therapy services to clients across Missouri. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Southeast Missouri State University. I have experience working with children and young adults with various developmental disabilities. Currently, I work with young and older adults experiencing depression, anxiety, and stress, using skills from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). My approach I encourage a collaborative approach to therapy and tailor treatment modalities, such as CBT, to meet each individual's needs. I involve clients in every step of the process?from goal setting to exploring strategies for success and implementing plans to move forward. I may assign homework that supports the strategies we discuss. Since every person's needs are unique, my approach is flexible and personalized. My focus Being flexible and collaborative has helped me support young and older adults facing challenging life situations, transitions, and ongoing emotional needs. Working one-on-one to plan and implement strategies can make these challenges more manageable. I have found CBT and solution-focused therapy especially beneficial in working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and various disabilities. My communication style I maintain an open, calm, and relaxed communication style. I listen without judgment to create positive, engaging sessions focused on clients' needs. I value open communication and collaboration throughout therapy. My journey to mental healthcare Volunteering has always been a part of my life. I enjoy connecting with people, listening with empathy, and empowering them to become their best selves. These experiences inspired me to pursue a career where I can support people through struggles and celebrate their successes.
