Kristen believes that all people strive towards wholeness and wellbeing throughout their lives, and that difficulties and challenges, however painful, are opportunities to gain a deeper sense of self-awareness, and to grow as a person. Kristen's treatment approach comes from her training in depth psychology, as well as internal family systems and EMDR. This approach is client lead and empowers people to discover the core of where and how their current symptoms began, how to make meaning of these events, to identify and release old patterns of behavior that are no longer working, and to restore balance and wellbeing. She feels a therapeutic relationship that is compassionate, in which you feel heard and understood, supports this process. She works well with people who feel stuck or overwhelmed by their current symptoms, such as anxiety, in all its forms, depression, and people who have experienced adversity and traumatic events. Kristen is guided by her curiosity for life, and loves to learn, travel and explore. She enjoys hiking/walking with her dog, music, photography, dance, and spending lots of time with family and friends.
