Trust is the most important ingredient in making therapy helpful. My top priority is to help my clients feel safe, heard, and respected. In this trust, a person can find the space needed to examine thoughts and emotions that may feel difficult and scary and discover healing on the other side.
Teens can benefit from therapy by developing self-worth, self-compassion, and practicing mindfulness skills. These tools equip teens to address their current struggles and support them through each stage of life.
Throughout the therapeutic journey, adults can begin to experience relief from distressing symptoms, increased confidence in the roles they play, and a more positive outlook on the future regarding their sense of self and important relationships.
What should a new client know about working with you?
As an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist, my areas of focus include anxiety and depression, trauma, grief and loss, and relationships. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, which is effective to decrease the distress related to traumatic memories.
Starting therapy is a brave step in taking care of yourself, and I look forward to supporting you in your healing journey.
