Kristi Rakes, LCSW

Psychotherapist
NC
Life is hard, and everyone deserves an outlet to talk about their feelings. I approach my practice with compassion, empathy, and nonjudgmental understanding. With a holistic mindset, I seek to help people navigate stress, mental health issues, and "life" in general. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years of experience in the mental health field. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have extensive training in mental health diagnosis, end-of-life care, and women's issues, and I am certified in Trauma-Focused CBT. I utilize strength-based practice modalities, CBT, TFCBT, Motivational Interviewing techniques, mindfulness, and self-esteem building to help people achieve their wellness goals. My hope for every encounter, whether personal or professional, is to bring something positive to the lives of those I meet. I want to help you heal, see your worth, and find a better future through your strengths and abilities. I deeply value anyone brave enough to seek help, and I strive to assist people in identifying their strengths during times of vulnerability and pain.
