Getting to know Kristi Robin Bohanon

I have a Master of Education degree in Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College and 25 years of experience in counseling, corrections, social services, and substance abuse. I was previously Clinical Director for an Inpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Program. Over the past 25 years, I have facilitated adult and adolescent groups in various settings, including residential facilities, courts, mental health agencies, and inpatient and outpatient facilities. The groups have addressed a variety of issues such as communication and values, grief and loss, substance abuse and recovery, as well as other psychosocial topics and education.

What should a new client know about working with you?

After the first session, clients will understand the counseling process and start to think about counseling goals. After working together for awhile, clients can expect to see and feel a decrease in symptoms and to have a better quality of life.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
