Getting to know Kristie Kirby

I am a relational, trauma-informed therapist who believes people are not problems to be fixed, but stories shaped by their experiences, relationships, and the ways they learned to survive. Each person’s story is continually unfolding, and I help clients reclaim authorship so they can move forward in ways that feel more aligned and empowered. I take a holistic, mind-body-spirit approach, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with narrative and attachment-based frameworks to gently explore both present thought patterns and the deeper beliefs that influence anxiety, self-doubt, and relational struggles. I strive to create a space that feels steady, compassionate, and emotionally safe — where you don’t have to perform or have everything figured out — while also thoughtfully challenging the beliefs and patterns that keep you feeling small or stuck. Together, we build practical tools for change while making room for the parts of your story that long to be seen, understood, and reshaped. For those who desire it, I welcome integrating faith or spiritual values into our work, always honoring each person’s unique beliefs and journey. Outside of therapy, I am a writer who works with children and families in various settings and enjoys nature, hiking, cooking, films, and spending time outdoors. Additional ACTION is required to finalize your booking with Kristie. If you book with Zocdoc, Stori's Care Coordinator will follow up with next steps to complete your booking. Kristie Kirby, Associate Marriage & Family Therapist. Supervised by Nancy Cummings, LCSW 99993.

I started seeing Kristie when I felt very lonely. She helped me understand where the feeling was coming from.
I've always had a hard time accepting when I do something well. Kristie has helped me work through this and become more comfortable in myself.
I started therapy because I felt I couldn't trust myself. Kristie has helped me more confident in the decisions I make and how I live my life.
I came to Kristie at a point where I felt pretty disconnected from myself and therapy has helped me feel like I'm finding myself again.
I went into therapy thinking I needed to complety change myself but Kristie helped me see that growth can mean understanding myself better. I can now react to things more carefully.
Something I really like about Kristie is how she can make therapy feel both reflective and practical. We can talk about where something comes from but also figure out what to do differently.
Kristie has helped me completly rethink the way I talk to myself. I used to be extremely hard on myself but I'm learning to recognize my strengths and feel more confident.
I really value how Kristie lets me tell her stories without feeling dumb. She doesn't immedietly try to label everything which has helped me be more honest.
Kristie has helped me put words to emotions that I used to have trouble explaining. Being able to understand what I'm actually feeling has made it easier for me to communicate.
I was having a hard time connecting with the people around me and being present. Kristie helped me realize I sometimes close myself off and shared me ways to be more comfortable.
Kristie has been a really important support while I've been processing a loss she never made me feel like there was a "right" way to grieve and gave me a safe space.
