Hi there, I'm Kristin! Welcome! I'm Kristin Busco Shipley, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker with a Master’s in Social Work from Aurora University. My approach to therapy is supportive and holistic, with a strong focus on solutions. My goal is to help clients accomplish their goals, process concerns in therapy, and empower them along the way. My approach I use a supportive, collaborative, holistic-centered, solution-focused approach grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also incorporate other therapeutic methods when they best serve my clients’ needs. I view therapy as a partnership between client and therapist, where we work together to create a safe, comfortable, and open space to discuss whatever the client wishes to focus on. My focus I have years of experience working with adults in individual therapy, couples counseling, faith-based therapy, and women’s issues therapy. It has always been my passion to help people in therapy, connect them with their communities, and provide valuable resources. My communication style I’m warm, inviting, supportive, and understanding, and I’ve been told I’m a good listener. I enjoy when clients collaborate with me in sessions and make the therapy environment their own. Therapy is a safe, confidential space for my clients to discuss anything. I believe in a therapeutic partnership where both the client and I are invested in your success. My journey to mental healthcare I have always wanted to help and advocate for people. I discovered that I truly enjoy being a therapist and listening to people in session. Empowering clients, processing their concerns, and witnessing their growth in therapy is deeply rewarding.
